GTBANK ACCOUNT BALANCE CHECK USING *737#
Gtbank Nigeria has further modified their *737# USSD code service by adding other features to it, one of which is the provision of a simplified code to check account balance on the go.
The simplified Guaranty Trust bank USSD to check account balance makes it very much easier this time as it works with any kind of phone that can make calls and also dial USSD code. This new method does not require data connection or internet connection, just the regular mobile phone that can make and receive calls.
The service works only on the number the customer has attached to his/her GTBANK account, that is, the number where the customer receives transaction alert.
The service also makes use of the last four digits on the customers ATM card number.
GTBANK USSD CODE TO CHECK ACCOUNT BALANCE
The USSD code to dial to check account balance on GTBANK account is *737*6*1#
On dialing the code, the customer would be asked to provide the last four digits(numbers) of his/her ATM card or Enter 0 to cancel. The last four digits of the ATM card is not the PIN which is used for withdrawals but rather the last four numbers on the ATM card. If you look on the front of the ATM card there are numbers on it 5399xxxxxx1234, what is required is the last four numbers on the ATM card.
When the last four digits are correctly entered and OK/ENTER pressed, depending on the network signal strength and the correctness of the details provided, the account balance of the customer’s GTBANK account would be displayed together with the account number.
The GTBANK USSD code for account balance check indirectly serves another purpose for customers that easily forget their account number. When the customer dials the code *737*6*1# to check his/her account balance, his/her GTBANK account number will also be shown.
The USSD code for checking GTBANK account balance has now made it hassle free for customers as they do not have to queue on ATM centers or banking halls just to check account balance(s) or account number(s). Even from the comfort of the bedroom, office and even from the toilet a GTBANK customer can have easy access to his/her account balance and also account number. Best of all, it does not require internet connection, data bundle, data enabled mobile phone, just any kind of mobile phone that can make and receive calls.
The GTBANK USSD code account balance check is not For FREE and attracts a service charge of #10 (Ten Naira) which is deducted from the customer’s account balance upon every account balance check.
Network charges may also apply aside the #10 charge from GTBANK. Some networks charge while some do not charge. Some network providers charge you for using the GTBANK USSD code which they deduct from the customers airtime while GTBANK charge the customer from his/her GTBANK account balance. So you have Network provider charge plus GTBANK charge.
The service charge from GTBANK is not a welcomed development as similar service from First Bank attracts no Charge and is for FREE.
Whatever the case, if you can stand the charges Dial *737*6*1# from any mobile phone that has the mobile number you have registered with GTBANK and check your account balance as well as your GTBANK account number on the go.
Cheers!!!
