MTN SHARE N SELL AIRTIME TRANSFER CHARGES
MTN share n sell, the service from MTN Nigeria that allows MTN subscribers transferring the airtime on their MTN line to other MTN subscribers before now does not attract any fee and was totally free but now the reverse is the case. MTN Nigeria has modified the share n sell service to include a transfer fee for each airtime transfer made.
The new charges which took effect from the 31st of January 2017 may be connected to the current recession going in the country because the MTN share n sell service has been on for a very long time and all those while was free and attracted no extra charge.
The new MTN SHARE and sell transfer charges are as follows:
Airtime Transfer Amount Transfer Charge
#1 to #100 #1
#101 to #500 #2
#501 to #1000 #5
#1001 to #5000 #10
#5000 and above #50
The implication is that MTN subscribers can no longer transfer/share airtime for FREE. The applicable charges apply for each transfer amount to be made.
Airtime transfers from 1naira to 50 naira attracts an extra fee of 1 naira what it means is that you must have the extra fee for the transfer to be successful and so on.
To transfer airtime, you will always be notified about the exact fee to be deducted together with the transfer charge once you initiate an airtime transfer process. The transfer fee will be deducted only when a confirmation or acceptance to continue is received from the customer.
Cheers!!!
