The sweet thing about this plan is that it comes with what MTN tagged “Yarfun Yarfun Bonus” the bonus is 500% of every recharge amount available for the period of 6 months from the day the SIM is registered and activated. The Yarfun Yarfun bonus could be used for calls to local networks, text and data on PAYG (pay as yo go). In clear and simple terms, you get 6x (times) the value of every recharge made.
To enjoy the MTN 500% Yarfun Yarfun bonus on every recharge, walk into any MTN shop, buy, register and activate an MTN line. Recharge it with any airtime amount from #100 and above within the period of 6 months and 500% of your recharge amount would be sent to you instantly.
MTN Yarfun Yarfun bonus is available by default on newly activated MTN SIMS hence, old sims are not supported because the start pack plan has not migration code. It is also important to note that when you migrate out of the start pack plan you cannot migrate back and you will seize to get the 500% bonus.
The MTN Yarfun Yarfun 500% bonus is available for 6 months after which the SIM would be automatically migrated to MTN beta talk prepaid plan.
There is no special code to use for recharging the airtime, just use the normal *555*PIN# and you will receive your 500% bonus instantly.
Recharge #100 and get #600 (#100 goes to the main account while #500 is credited to the bonus account), recharge #200 and get #1,200 (#200 goes to the main account while #1,000 goes to the bonus account), recharge #500 and get #3,000 (#500 goes to the main account while #2,500 goes to the bonus account). The least amount to recharge and get the 500% yarfun yarfun bonus is #100.
The validity of the yarfun yarfun bonus is 7days. After 7days any unused bonus expires and is wiped away. However, you can recharge before the expiration to extend the validity.
There is no limit to the bonus as the more you recharge the more bonus you get.
On the MTN start pack plan, you are also entitled to a separate bonus of 10MB on the recharge of 200 and above. The 10MB bonus data has a validity of 2days.

MTN start pack plan does not support share ‘n’ sell. Share ‘n’ sell is the service which allows MTN customers to share/send airtime from their MTN line to other MTN subscribers. You can receive airtime through share n sell though but you cannot transfer. Also, airtime received through share and sell does not qualify for the 500% bonus.
Call Rates On MTN Start Pack Prepaid Plan
The 500% bonus can be used to call only local mobile networks (MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat). International calls are charged from the main account.
Call rate on MTN Starter Pack (Yarfun Yarfun) is as follows;
Calls to all local networks (MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat) are charged at a flat rate of #40/min (66k/secs)
SMS to all local networks is #4
SMS to international networks is #15
