One of the great advantage of glo data sharing is, a single data bundle plan subscription could be shared among other glo customers without the need for another data bundle subscription on each of the glo lines.

Glo data bundle sharing is not restricted by location. A glo customer could share data with any glo customer(s) in any location. A glo subscriber in Lagos could share data with a glo customer in Kontangora,Kafachan,Aba and even Sambisa forest.

The Glo line which has the current active data bundle subscription to be shared must not be online before the other glo customers can browse with the shared data. As a matter of fact, the main glo line sharing the data bundle plan may even be removed from the phone or the phone switched off, yet the glo data sharing won’t be affected.

The network signal of the glo line sharing the data does not in any way affect the signal strength of the glo customers benefitting from the sharing. The network signal strength is dependent on the location of the customer using the shared data.

The beneficiary of the shared data can enjoy 4G network signal notwithstanding the glo customer sharing the data is in a location with 3G network.

The number of glo customers sharing the data bundle plan does not in any way affect the connection speed. The connection speed of browsing is dependent on the beneficiaries location.

Glo data sharing saves cost. A single glo data bundle could be shared among family members, friends and colleagues on glo network without the need for everyone to subscribe individually.

Disadvantages Of Glo Data Bundle Sharing

The maximum number of glo subscribers allowed to share a data bundle plan is three(3).Though a beneficiary could be removed and another added but they must not exceed three at any given point in time.

Glo data bundle sharing is only available to data bundle plans from #500 and above. Any data bundle plan below #500 cannot be shared.

Glo data bundle sharing is not protected and does not make provision for such. Anyone who knows about glo data bundle sharing could easily have access to a customers data and add any glo number(s) without restriction. Anyone can add, remove or modify the glo numbers on glo data sharing without permission.

The glo customer sharing the data bundle plan has no control over the amount of data any beneficiary could use. Once a glo number is added to share data, the customer has access to the same data amount as the glo customer sharing the data unless the customer is removed.

There is no way to monitor what any of the glo customer(s) added to share data is consuming or has consumed. There is no way to single out a glo customer consuming more data than the others.

Once a glo customer is added to share data, the number must be manually removed even when the shared data bundle plan has expired. The expiration or when the data is exhausted does not stop the data sharing or remove the glo number(s)sharing the data.The beneficiary will continue to share whatever data is available anytime the main glo subscriber sharing the data subscribes to any glo data bundle plan that supports data sharing.

To share glo data bundle plan using the Glo HSI portal method, visit hsi.glo.com using the glo line that has the data bundle to be shared.

Look at the right hand corner for the location where you see the Glo number and the current active data bundle plan.

Click on SHARE IT.

Look carefully as a space will appear where you input the glo number you want to share the data bundle plan with. After you input the glo number, click on the plus (+) sign beside it.

Using the procedure above you can add another glo number(s).
